These two wholefood breakfast recipes are simple to make and a nutritious way to start the day. They will supply your body with protein (for body function and renewal), good fats (for healthy skin and brain and carbohydrates for energy) These foods also give you fibre, vitamins and minerals which can assist your body's health.
1. Delicious Whole foods Breakfast
INGREDIENTS
- 1 or 2 boiled eggs
- 1/4 Avocado
- 1/2 large brown mushroom
- 2 x large slices of tomato
METHOD
1. Boil eggs, remove shell , place on plate next to Avocado
2. Saute mushroom and tomato in butter for 2-3 minutes, then place on plate
3. Add salt and black pepper, turmeric and fresh herbs if desired (basil, parsley,mint)
2. Berry Quinoa breakfast bowl
INGREDIENTS
-1 or 2 desert spoon fulls of cooked Quinoa
- 1 x desert spoon full of Psyllium Husk
- 1 x dessert spoon of cacao nibs
- 1 x dessert spoon of goji berries
- 1x desert spoons of Papaya
- 1/3 x banana sliced
- 2 x desert spoon of berries (raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, blackberries)
- 1 or 2 desert spoon full of Tamar Valley Greek style full fat yoghurt
- 1x desert spoon full of LSA ( Linseed, sunflower seeds, pepitas and almonds blended)
METHOD
1. Put all ingredients in a bowl and sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg
